With a precocious sense of art, Lázaro studied at the age of eight at the Academy of Fine Arts. LÁZARO ROSA-VIOLAN, born between Bilbao, Madrid and Barcelona, developed an early taste for decoration in the sumptuous houses and in the places where he lived and visited.
Trained as a painter, a traveler of conviction and an interior designer by instinct, Lázaro finds inspiration everywhere. His style is stylish. His cultural background allows him to mix, modify and reinterpret past and current trends for each new task. Lazaro was known in 1990 as an interior designer with the success of his first project on the Balearic island of Ibiza. In 2002, he opened his own studio and in only twelve years he was able to record impressive growth coverage with an extensive customer and media portfolio.

Lazaro describes himself as a painter, traveler and creator of atmospheres. His philosophy was always based on barrier-free design. The experience should be bigger than the space and for everyone involved. Painter of 8 years, architect of 20, designer by nature, Lazaro opened his studio in Barcelona in 2002. Here he forged a new style bridging a background of painting the new area of design.
Its strengths lie in the use of structure, form and an acute sense of space, which allow it to exceed the wildest expectations of customers. Lazaro creates atmospheres more than spaces. Lázaro Rosa-Violán says he is an “urban archaeologist” and a “style hunter”, uniting an eclectic mix of urban city streets with the serenity of the Balearic Islands. His designs inspire even the craziest city dwellers to lay down the blackberries and relax.

His keen eye for every detail allows him to arrange a combination of the finest furniture, textiles and wall art, resulting in a harmonious interior that is immediately distinguished by its charm and refined color palette.
His first project, a restaurant, was completed in 1990 on the Balearic island of Ibiza and in 2003 he founded CONTEMPORAIN, his Barcelona-based design firm with a flair for international design and impeccable taste in a quiet street in the Eixample, just steps away from the Arc de Triomphe.
All in all, the interiors of Lázaro are beautifully layered, with a mix of styles that blend in perfectly. The palettes he chooses are usually sophisticated and reserved, usually with a bold accent color.
