Origami chair “Linito” by designer Yu Ito
Yu Ito is the designer of this unique furniture collection that consists of chairs and stools. The “Linito” designer chairs are made of folded and laser-cut steel sheet. And we would call these simply origami chairs, because their design is so much like the Japanese art of paper folding.
But this is by no means a coincidence, because even the designer comes from Japan and works and lives in the capital Tokyo.
Designer furniture made of sheet steel in origami style
A “Linito” origami chair consists of 2 parts – the chair base and the seat (with or without backrest). Both consist, as already mentioned, of laser-cut sheet steel, but both parts are processed slightly differently. The sheet metal part for the base is rolled and this for the seat is folded. Then the entire chair construction is painted with a water-based color and so gets the Origami chair / stool a fresh and fashionable color accent.

The “Linito” chair or stool is available with or without support. Of course, the chair cover is made only from recycled fabrics – 75% cotton, 20% acrylic and 5% other fibers. This is designed in 2 fabric patterns – gray striped or only in light gray.
The chair itself is available in yellow, dark gray and white. Enjoy the fresh chair design that Yu Ito designed specifically for Formabilio.
